Role Profile: Guest Lecturer

We are always looking for interesting and dynamic speakers and lecturers to engage our students. We hold TED-style events through the summer where speakers have 20 minute slots to give a presentation before the students move on to another talk. The challenge for speakers is obvious: be clear and be engaging to the students.

During the summer and at other times of the year we also hold one-off lectures and talks in a more traditional format. Previous speakers have included Sir Andrew Motion, Professor Richard Dawkins and Baroness Susan Greenfield.

Throughout the year at our International Study Centre we invite speakers to attend a formal dinner with the students to talk on their areas of expertise.

For all of the above we are interested both in those at the start of their careers and those more established, however whomever we ask to speak must be engaging and relevant for our multinational student body.
