Field Support Officer: Role Profile
Field Support Officers are essential members of the Operations Team who assist with the preparation and delivery of our front-line summer services. The team are deployed across all summer sites, collaborating with a range of working groups. This is a dynamic role giving Field Support Officers unparalleled insight into the operational processes of our summer programme.
Field Support Officers collectively share day-to-day duties with logistics, campus and events staff. They must be adaptable and enjoy responding to the challenges of a busy working environment. This work requires self-motivation and the commitment to see a project or event through to completion. Field Support Officers must be dedicated team players who can contribute positively.
This role would be an excellent first insight into events and operations work. Experience in a team is important, but enthusiasm and a ‘can do attitude’ are essential attributes for potential candidates. The team supports the school every day of the week and Field Support Officers will frequently work on evening and weekends; this could be overseeing our airport transfer service between Oxford and Heathrow, or liaising with contractors at one of our showpiece events. Contracted hours are balanced, there will be busy and quiet periods and everyone will average a 40 hour working week, so there will be plenty of time outside of work to make the most of the summer.
